# Uninstall Shoppy Store Locator

> What to do before you uninstall, how to uninstall the app, and what happens to your stores, pages, and plan afterwards.

You can uninstall Shoppy Store Locator at any time from your Shopify admin.

> **Uninstalling deletes your data straight away.** All your stores, settings, and layouts are removed as soon as you uninstall. This can't be undone, and we can't recover them for you. Export your stores first if you might need them again.

## Before you uninstall

Work through this list first:

1. **Export your stores.** Go to **Stores** › **Export** › **Export All Locations**, then download the file. See [Export stores to CSV](https://help.shoppyconnect.com/store-locator/importing-and-syncing/export-stores-to-csv.md). You can import it again if you come back.
2. **Hide or delete your store locator page.** Go to **Install widget** and click **Hide page**. If you leave it published, customers who open it see an empty page.
3. **Delete your store pages**, if you created any. Open each store and choose **Delete store page** in the **Store page** section. Store pages stay on your online store after you uninstall, and they no longer work.
4. **Remove links from your menus.** In your Shopify admin, go to **Content** › **Menus** and remove links to the store locator page and store pages.
5. **Make a note of your settings**, such as your layout, colours, and search options, if you want to set things up the same way later.

## Uninstall the app

1. In your Shopify admin, go to **Settings** › **Apps**.
2. Find **Shoppy Store Locator** and click **⋯** next to it.
3. Click **Uninstall**, then confirm.

## What happens when you uninstall

| What                                   | What happens                                                                                                                                                  |
| -------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Stores, settings, and layouts**      | Deleted straight away, including trading hours, tags, custom layouts, and your map key.                                                                       |
| **Your plan**                          | Shopify cancels your subscription to the app.                                                                                                                 |
| **Store locator blocks in your theme** | Shopify stops showing blocks from uninstalled apps, so the **Store Locator Widget**, **Modal**, and **View All** blocks disappear from your online store.     |
| **Store locator page and store pages** | They stay on your online store, because they're normal Shopify pages, but the store locator on them no longer loads. Hide or delete them, as described above. |
| **Google connection**                  | The app's link to your Google account is removed. Your Google Business Profile and its locations aren't changed.                                              |
| **Google Sheets spreadsheet**          | Stays in your Google Drive, but no longer syncs.                                                                                                              |
| **Your Shopify locations**             | Not changed. Importing them into the app never changed them in Shopify.                                                                                       |

To also remove the app's access from your Google account, go to your Google account's **Security** settings and remove Shoppy Store Locator from your connected apps.

## If you reinstall later

- You start with an empty app. Import your stores again from the CSV file you exported. See [Import stores from a CSV file](https://help.shoppyconnect.com/store-locator/importing-and-syncing/import-stores-from-a-csv-file.md).
- Leave the `StoreId` column empty in your file, so new stores are created.
- Your free trial doesn't restart. If you've used it before, choose a plan to keep using the app.
- Set up your settings and layouts again, then publish your store locator page from the **Dashboard**.
