Find your problem below. Each one lists what to check, most likely first.

The widget doesn’t show on my product page

  1. Check the block is on your live theme. Open the theme editor on a product page and look for Shoppy FS - Widget or Inline Nearest Store in the list on the left. See Add the widget to your product page.
  2. Check you saved the theme, and that it’s your published theme, not a draft.
  3. Check you have at least one Active location in Locations.
  4. Check your plan. If your free trial has ended and you haven’t chosen a plan, the widget stops showing stores. See Plans and billing.
  5. Refresh the page in a normal browser window, not a private one.

Home says Not added, but the widget shows

That’s fine. Widget status only finds the Shoppy FS - Widget block on your default product template. It says Not added if you use another block, such as Inline Nearest Store, or if the block is inside a group. See If Widget status says Not added.

A store is missing from the list

  • The location is Inactive. Set it to Active in Locations.
  • The store is further away than your Search radius. Try a bigger radius in Settings › Store search.
  • The location was added by hand or from a CSV file, so it isn’t linked to a Shopify location and can’t show stock. Import it from Shopify instead.
  • The product has never been stocked at that location in Shopify.

See How stock works.

A store shows the wrong stock

  • Check the Available quantity for the product at that location in Shopify. Find in Store shows the same number.
  • Check your Safety buffer in Settings › Stock. A store with that many items or fewer shows Out of stock.
  • Check the product doesn’t have its own buffer set in a metafield.
  • If your stock comes from another system, check your stock sync app has run.

See Why a store shows the wrong stock.

Customers see “No stores found”

  • Your Search radius is too small for where customers are. Try a bigger one.
  • None of your active locations are near the address they searched.
  • The product isn’t stocked at any nearby location.

Address search doesn’t work

If customers see Searching for addresses is unavailable. Please contact the site owner. #GAPI, or no suggestions appear as they type:

  1. Check your key is in Settings › General › Google Maps API key.
  2. Check the Places API and Maps JavaScript API are turned on for that key in Google Cloud.
  3. Check billing is set up on your Google Cloud account.
  4. If you limited the key to certain websites, check your store’s web address is on the list.

See If address search doesn’t work.

Use my location doesn’t work

  • The customer said no when their browser asked to share their location. They can change this in their browser’s settings, or search by address instead.
  • Location only works on secure pages that start with https://. Your Shopify store already uses these.

My changes don’t show on the store

  • Click Save at the top of Settings. Changes aren’t kept until you save.
  • Refresh the product page. If you’re checking in the theme editor, reload the editor too.
  • For stock banner colours, use Settings › Stock › Stock banners. The Stock banners section in Widget appearance doesn’t change your online store yet.
  • If you’ve saved wording in Translate, change the wording there too. See Translations.

I can’t edit my locations

If Locations shows Locations are managed in Shoppy Connect, your stores come from Shoppy Connect. Click Open Shoppy Connect and edit them there. See Locations managed by Shoppy Connect.
